 1. INTRODUCTION

Audenco (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “our”) or the website www.audenco.in is operated by Xellier Network Solutions Pvt. Ltd who develops AI-powered hardware (smart cameras), software platforms, applications and APIs designed for real-time intelligence across edge, cloud, and client environments. We are committed to protecting the privacy of individuals whose data is processed by our technology.

This Privacy Policy explains:

  • How data is collected, used, and shared across our ecosystem (on-device, in the cloud, and on client applications).

  • The roles and responsibilities of Audenco and our Clients.

Your rights and how you can exercise them.

2. KEY DEFINITIONS

  • Personal Data: Any data that identifies or could identify an individual (e.g., faces, license plates, voices, names, addresses, emails, phone numbers).

  • Data Controller: The party that determines how and why Personal Data is processed. Our Clients typically act as Data Controllers.

  • Data Processor: The party that processes Personal Data on behalf of a Controller. Audenco acts as a Processor under the instructions of Clients.

  • Fiduciary: Clients, as Controllers, have a duty to act in the best interest of the end-users whose data they process.

  • Edge Processing: Processing directly on the smart camera hardware (e.g., anonymizing faces, detecting motion).

  • Cloud Processing: Processing on our secure servers for advanced AI functions (e.g., model training, analytics).

  • Client Device Processing: Data processed using our SDKs or APIs on the Client’s systems (e.g., mobile app reports).

  • Aggregated Data/Anonymous Data: Data stripped of personal identifiers, used for analytics and AI improvements.

  • Face detection : Identifies the presence of a face in the camera view without identifying who it belongs to.

  • Face recognition (Not used in Audenco products): Matches a detected face against a database to identify or verify the identity of an individual.

 17. FACE DETECTION VS. FACE RECOGNITION

Audenco is committed to privacy-first design in all of our AI camera products and services. To clarify, our systems do not perform Facial Recognition.

Audenco products use Face Detection only to enable anonymous people tracking and analytics. We never perform or support Facial Recognition in our standard offerings, ensuring that all data remains anonymous and non-identifiable by design.

Face Detection (Used by Audenco)

  • What it is: Identifies the presence of a face in the camera view without identifying who it belongs to.

  • How we use it:

    • We use face and person detection purely to understand when and where a person appears in the scene.

    • Our algorithms assign a tracking ID (a random, temporary number) to track movement across frames — this ID is not tied to any personally identifiable information.

    • We may also use demographic estimation algorithms (e.g., age group, gender, mood) to generate aggregated metadata for audience analytics. This information is fully anonymized and statistical in nature.

Face Recognition (Not Used by Audenco)

  • What it is: Matches a detected face against a database to identify or verify the identity of an individual.

  • What we don’t do:

    • We do not match faces against any stored identities or databases.

    • We do not collect, store, or process biometric identifiers or facial templates.

Anonymized Metadata

  • All metadata generated by our system — including demographic estimates and tracking IDs — is numerical and anonymized.

  • This data cannot be linked back to an individual and is used only for system analytics, performance insights, or aggregated reporting.

7. DATA SHARING & THIRD PARTIES

  • Sub-Processors: We work with secure third-party vendors including AWS (cloud infrastructure), Razorpay (payments), and Zoho (CRM/helpdesk). A list of sub-processors is available here.

  • Legal Requirements: Data may be disclosed under court orders, subpoenas, or to protect rights and safety.

  • Never Sold: We do not sell your Personal Data to advertisers or data brokers.

  • Business Transfers: In case of a merger or acquisition, data may be transferred as part of the business assets.

8. DATA SECURITY

Audenco maintains industry-standard security practices and we are continuously improving it:

  • Encryption: TLS for data in transit; AES for data at rest.

  • Edge Security: Cameras ship with secure protocols for access.

  • IT Safeguards: Continuous monitoring, firewalls, vulnerability management.

Despite best efforts, no system is completely secure, and by using our services, you accept this risk.

9. DATA RETENTION

  • Client Data: Deleted per Client instructions or after project termination (unless under legal hold).

  • Cloud Backups: Retained for 30 days for disaster recovery.

  • Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely for system optimization and AI model training.

10. YOUR RIGHTS (END-USERS)
  • Access to your personal data.

  • Correction or deletion of inaccurate data.

  • To opt-out from certain types of processing.
